The best technique to get us started as a new shooter, or perhaps get us back on track when we seem to have lost our ability to work effectively (in my opinion) is Mas Ayoob’s “Stressfire”. As we progress, we start to adjust small pieces to better accommodate moving, scanning, working in a close environment, etc.
If you’ve not attended training with Mas or seen him shoot you may think some of this is bonkers. If you’ve witnessed him in action, you know he uses this technique with deadly precision and speed. At 70 plus, he still outshoots most people.
When we find our performance deteriorating, we should go back to the basics and bring ourselves back up to to speed.
