Elbow Pain From Shooting.

Joe Gilbert

In late 2016 I was suffering tennis elbow in my dominant shooting arm. I began physical therapy in early 2017 and due to an upcoming 3 day shooting class (with John Farnam who excepts no excuses) I wanted/needed to heal quickly. I began extensive shooting with my non-dominant arm and then my non-dominant elbow became so painful I couldn’t lift a beverage without serious pain. Luckily, physical therapy, Ibuprofen and hard work proved successful. I have since stopped shooting 45's in mass and have adopted 9mm as my primary caliber.  Reducing recoil and actually continuing to perform the exercises given to me by the therapist have kept my arms pretty much pain free.  Here is an old, but great article that you should find useful.
